Who is behind the byline?

“FreeSolarPanelsFL Team” means the site operator shares responsibility for this content. It does not name a single reporter or a credentialed technical reviewer. We do not call this site a newsroom. We do not claim an unnamed author has professional training or credentials.

Our service and compensation

FreeSolarPanelsFL helps homeowners compare solar options and sends leads to installer partners. We get paid when we connect homeowners with these partners. This paid relationship is part of our service. Our network does not list every Florida installer. A connection is not an independent ranking or endorsement of a contractor.

We do not install solar, provide financing or act as a utility. We do not give tax advice or guarantee savings. Your contracts with the providers should cover installation, financing and warranties. They should also cover promises about how the system will perform.

How we check factual claims

For state taxes, we use Florida Statutes and Florida Department of Revenue guidance. For federal credits, we use IRS guidance. For billing and interconnection, we use FPSC rules and utility tariffs. For permits, we use city or county building departments. Local pages link to the authority for that service area. They explain where city rules apply and where county rules apply.

A source link should open the rule, document or program page that supports the claim. A source’s effective date is separate from the date we checked it. We may be unable to verify a price, rate or approval timeline. In that case, we explain how it works and its limits. We do not fill in a plausible number. Calculations and examples used for learning must state their assumptions. They are not installer quotes or measured savings.

A guide can have outdated tax facts even when its technical details remain useful. We state which topic each source supports. We use the relevant tax authority to check who qualifies now. Sources do not support claims beyond that stated scope.

When we review pages

We review pages when changes are identified. These include laws, tax guidance, utility tariffs, interconnection terms, permit rules or a factual error. We have no fixed review schedule. We do not promise to track every authority in real time.

The last-reviewed date records when a review took place. It does not advance on its own or show when you opened the page. We do not have original publication dates for the existing pages. We say so and leave unsupported publication dates out of structured data. Adding a byline or rebuilding the site alone does not justify a newer factual-review date.

A claim may seem to conflict with its source. If so, use the linked primary document. Confirm the terms that apply with the authority before relying on the claim. Our contact page states the current limits of email support.

What a partner referral does—and does not—mean

We do not publish a documented process for screening partners or checking them again. So we do not claim that referrals certify insurance coverage, customer ratings or work quality. Before signing, check the contractor’s Florida license yourself. Ask for current proof of insurance, check references and read the whole contract.

See our installer-selection checklist and the DBPR verification instructions below. We do not use unverified customer testimonials as proof of our service’s results.
